Samsung wave 2 Samsung Wave S8500 was the first mobile handset to be released on Samsung’s new, open OS, Samsung Bada. After its huge success a sequel was sure to be expected. This Samsung Mobile carries the same stunning look but bigger and heavier in size, and it is upgraded to reach out to a more high-end class of consumers.

The Wave II is still one of the most attractive devices with seamless, streamlined body that has no harsh lines. A beautiful and strong tempered glass cover perfectly complements and enhances the huge 3.7-inch LCD display. Furthermore, with anti-smudge technology, fingerprints are a thing of the past. It is obviously bigger and more masculine than its predecessor. Other than that, the two Mobile phones are virtually identical: the same finish and the same layout of controls. It is still reasonably compact and pocket-friendly. The only difference in terms of design is the navigation controls. The buttons below the screen do look better but are not as comfortable as they used to be. The phone feels sturdy and solid in hands with a slim and solid metal body.

Samsung’s Bada OS has clicked with the consumers just because of the amazing collection of apps it offers to the users that make entertainment and connectivity a breeze. Users love to have them and manufacturers have them as USP. The Wave II allows social networking lovers to change the layout of the home-page to allow instant access to YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and a host of other social networking services. Another user friendly feature is Samsung’s Webkit-based Dolphin Browser 2.0 with Flash support to browse the web. The Wave’s high-speed CPU ensures smooth multi-tasking. It is powered by the amazing push technology to deliver email messages, calendar events and SNS updates in real-time. Samsung Wave is incorporated with Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi and built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS support and digital compass.

Multi-codec support audio/video and FM radio with recording transform the device into a juke box or movie hall at an instant. A 5 MP autofocus camera with touch focus and LED flash and geo-tagging will complete the package and HD video capabilities make the phone an outstanding device too.

TheSamsung S8530 Wave II may not be the most awaited upgrade so far, but the phone runs the latest version of the Bada OS and has continued with all the great features of the original like the powerful CPU, cutting edge connectivity and HD video recording. And all this is sported to you on a larger display. Of course, it is not a super AMOLED screen like before, but, size makes a difference and you would surely love to flaunt it.
