Spice has come a long way in manufacturing value for money dual SIM mobile phones. They are now revamping their range and shifting focus to internet ready smartphones with high-tech apps. The result is Spice MI-270 a Dual-SIM, Dual camera Android Smartphone which the company has officially launched for the Indian market.
Spice MI-270 has been armed with everything to stand at par with smartphones from any international brands. It gives a bright and vibrant 3.7inch HVGA capacitive touch screen display at a very modest price. Spice mobiles offers their largest touch screen display mobile with the face of the phone mostly occupied by the large screen with a thin bezel. There are very few hardware controls under the screen. They’ve even thrown in a trackball for navigating the menus with touch sensitive menus keys just below the display. A 3.5mm hands free socket is placed at the top. The Mi-300 has a microSD hot swap slot which is present under the rear panel. Its light weight no-frill design makes it easy to carry around every day.
Spice still has not had enough of its dual SIM feature. So, the new Spice MI-270 smartphone is also a Dual SIM GSM mobile phone. It is loaded with the Android OS and powered by the MediaTek 600 Mhz processor. It is a large 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display mobile and it comes third after Spice has launched Spice MI-300 and Spice MI-310, the first touchscreen Android mobiles from Spice. The new smartphone will be loaded with the older versions Android OS (v2.1). Spice MI-270 sports a dual camera, one each at the front and rear. Its front camera and high speed Internet connectivity enables you to do video calling. You will also get a multi format media player with decent audio/video quality. The display size and resolution makes it comfortable to watch videos anywhere.
The handset will come equipped with 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and of course USB 2.0. As it is an Android device you can be rest assured that it comes with extensive number of apps to make life really easy for you. Other than email and Push Mail an easy access to Facebook, Gtalk, YouTube and Yahoo can be expected. You can now share your images with your friends via FB or picasa and can also send them via emails or MMS.
We are still not armed with the detail spec sheet of MI-270. Spice Mobility plans to provide easy and affordable Android devices to its Indian consumers . Spice officially claims that the phone will come with a number of pre-loaded apps to address the digital lifestyle of youth. Being priced very low and armed with Android Mi-270 can bring about a revolution in domestic mobile market. It comes bundled with quite a few smart features including the dual camera. For smooth running of Android with its bundle of apps, we need a powerful processor and battery. And the outdated Android version is another disappointment. Let’s hope that Spice will upgrade to at least Android Froyo (v2.2) in near future.
