After the market got flooded with dual SIM phones, Nokia made an entry in the dual SIM market very silently. But better late than never, it has come up with a very functional and stylish entry level and dual SIM phone. Nokia C2has arrived in the market with a dual SIM and great multimedia to woo the consumers.
The C2 has a typical Nokia look. A lightweight all plastic bar phone with just 74 grams of weight does not look extraordinary but it is pretty decent for its price range. However, the chassis is fingerprint-proof and Nokia C2 feels sturdy and provides easy carefree handling. It comes in many colour options -Dark Grey, Cool Grey, Red and Midnight Blue so that you can afford some variety in the ordinary design. The 1.8 inches 65K-color TFT display occupies half of the face. The image quality and sunlight legibility are pretty good for this price range. The navigation deck is made around a D-pad without any center button and is placed below the screen. It is flanked by the function keys. The C2 sports good ergonomics too by providing excellent typing and navigation experience.
Though Nokia C2 sports no groundbreaking features, it packs a decent set of features with healthy dose of phone and entertainment. A hot swap-enabled SIM slot is the main highlight of the phone. You can keep one SIM card inside your phone and insert another SIM into the hot swappable slot at any time - then you can switch easily between both the SIMs. A microSD/SDHC slot card slot with a memory capacity of 32GB is definitely an advantage. As for connectivity is concerned, it is equipped with GPRS Class 10, Bluetooth 2.0, microUSB v2.0 and an HTML Browser. A standard 3.5mm audio jack is another highlight. The UI is simple which is typical of Nokia. Messaging service is seamlessly supported by this phone including SMS, MMS, Email (SMTP, IMAP4, and POP3) and IM.
This Nokia Mobile phone has a nice collection of pre loaded mp3 and polyphonic ringing profiles and on top of them you get downloadable ones to customize your phone. Games and music are on board for your recreation. The phone comes with a multi-format music player and FM radio with RDS and FM recording. You can hear your favorite tracks with your favorite headphones or by plugging in speakers to the 3.5 mm connector. Another underlying surprise is the VGA Camera which supports 3 GP video and GIF, BMP, JPG- still image. So you get a complete multimedia package along with the dual SIM feature. Nokia C2 has everything that you look for in a decent standard range phone along with good dose of connectivity and entertainment. The hot swappable dual SIM card slots round up the whole features. Another important thing to know about the Nokia C2 is that it comes with a variant called Nokia C2 -01. This is the most inexpensive 3G phone from the house of Nokia. But, unlike the original Nokia C2, this is a single SIM device. However, the bottom line is that Nokia C2 has clicked well in the market and people have at last found a reliable branded dual SIM phone that also offers awesome backup features.
