Youth is the main strength of any country in terms of power, enrichment, politics, money and revolution. They have that power and zeal in their shoulders by which a nation can change its unsatisfactory present scenario into a sumptuous and progressive future for which every country aspires. But behind every action presence of a strong and positive cause is very important. Because overturn meaning of ’YUVAA’ is ’VAAYU’ that is able to shower huge rain of prosperity if it flows in right direction but on the other hand one wrong cause can turn it into a storm which can destroy the whole nations future in single movement. So to change our nation’s outlook we need to put a seed of growth and curiosity into the mindsets of our younger generation who has the responsibility along with ability to hold as well as build our nation future by their hands.
Let us not forget that only because of knowledge and use of education with technology have turned the scenario of China and Israel in a developed and powerful country in a very less time period on the global front. Collaboration of Education with technology can help us in attaining our aspired goals and this opportunity has been perceived by our HRD department of India and students of IIT Rajasthan who had tried to cater a tablet for every individual as a best of the world of technology up till date.
Earlier this tablet was named as Sakshat Tablet which had been decided to manufacture by HCL Infosystems but they had failed to provide at least 600 million in form of bank guaranteed funds as required by the Indian government. As the result the government has recalled the bidding again for the tablet project of 6.5million. After the bidding process has been completed the contract of this tablet goes in hand of A UK-based Company DataWind in collaboration with IIT Rajasthan students. After this incident this tablet is named as Aakash which means Sky in Hindi for students and UBislate for commercial use.
Apart from this, Datawind is leading developer of wireless web based products and service providers which is owned by Suneet Singh Tuli who is a Canadian of Indian descent. But this slate will be totally Indian slate as it will be assembled in India at newly established Hyderabad plant of DataWind India. The main reason behind the making of Aakash slate is that the Indian government wants to provide high quality digital education related content within reach of Indian students at a low cost of $35 and its commercial version Ubislate will be available at $60 at retail stores for individual buyers. To make it a cheapest tab the hardware components are sourced from different countries such as 35% from South Korea, 25% from China, 16% from USA, 16 % from India and other 8% have brought from others countries.
Aakash Ubislate tablet is the most anticipated tablet of the world invented and created as a best instance of Indian minds. Let’s find out what alluring specs Aakash slate has brought under the hood. This slate has been developed as National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology under the aspirations to link up the 25000 colleges and 400 universities of India in an e-learning program. For this purpose Indian government is buying 100,000 tablets from DataWind for INR 2,250 per unit. As to offers the tablet on less prices to the students the buying price of Aakash tablet has to be shared equivalent by the government and the institution who will buy these slates for their students along with one-year free replacement warranty by the manufacturer.
After a successful launching on 5 October 2011 the Aakash tablet has been distributed to large number of students for testing to know that it stands upon the vows or not. Frankly speaking, every mission has to face a testing phase after that time we can say that it has achieved the cherished goals successfully or not. But this is very sure that future efforts of the e-learning mission will move further only in two ways. One is to meet the same performance level at a lower cost and other is to find much more advanced capabilities in same cost.
