Force Motors, best known for its constant innovation in the light commercial vehicle segment and carrying that same ideology forward, they have come up with Force One. Force one is known to be one of the first vehicles made by an Indian OEM in the personal vehicle space.

Competition which is governed by Ford Endeavour and Chevrolet Captiva besides others has been perfectly stirred by Force Motor’s Force One SUV. The new SUV which includes high end features like driver information system, cruise control, audio control mounted on steering, dual AC vents for each row has state-of-the-art interior comfort and convenience. Along with these, the SUV also has OSRVM side indicators and plush leather seats. Mercedes-Benz Technologies is the valuator and auditor of the complete vehicle and the onboard electronics. It has a ground clearance of 205 mm, which is good enough for a 2510 kg SUV and with high ground clearance, the ride and handling has been fine tuned by Lotus Engineering with sixteen inch alloy wheels. The Force Motors Force One SUV is a six/seven seater SUV with 16 in alloy wheels and power steering, power windows fitted. The braking system in the Force One is front and rear disk brakes. The transmission is 5-speed manual. The fuel tank capacity is 75 litres. Apart from this, the Force One is equipped with Daimler AG Germany sourced 2.2L FMTech (Force Motors Technology) 4cylinder CRDI turbo engine producing 321Nm of torque and 140bhp of power. The vehicle’s front is decked with projector lamps. Reverse parking sensors make the job of reversing this car much easier.

However hard we try to reach perfection, loopholes persist. And with this journey to nirvana becomes risky. To be precise, Force One does not have ABS (Anti Braking System) and Airbags which makes us down about the vehicle. Therefore, it is considered to be the bad SUV as per as the safety features are concerned. Generally for any SUV safety features are the uppermost criteria like Airbags, ABS, EDB, ESP, and Traction Control etc. But Force One does not have these important features. It comes only with the safety features like Parking Sensors, Fog Lamps, Central Locking, Engine Immobilizer, Child Safety Door Locks, Front/Rear Seatbelts, Collapsible Steering and Crumple Zones in Indian market. Although there is a probability of introducing the proper safety features in future with its 4×4 variant.

Hence it would be totally wrong to judge it on the basis of safety features only. Also being an SUV we have a preconceived notion of it being sturdy and robust inside with no scope for entertainment. Well to our surprise, the Force One SUV is entertaining both with respect to its power and maneuverability and infotainment inside. With JVC Audio System (2DIN CD/MP3 player) inside, it ensures that we are entertained always. Hence, we can conclude with a positive note that the company has yet to establish itself as a quality SUV maker in the overcrowded market.
